Archives: April 2002 Wednesday, April 24, 2002 This morning it is a challenge to do my half-hour of writing, as I am under pressure to finish, or begin, a draft agenda for the next Creating Our Future Memorial Weekend Workshop. There will be a board meeting in two hours and fifteen minutes, and I have not yet begun, or begun in a way that has been satisfactory. In general, in writing, speaking and in meetings, I try to avoid talking about what other people should do. Other people, being governments, businesses, and institutions (and individuals) other than those with which (whom) I am associated. Out of balance. Tired. Cranky. Emotions that have generated commotions. Yes, I did my morning practice this morning. I always, by God’s grace, do my morning practice. But there are many ways to do one’s morning practice. [more] Posted by Sat Santokh @ 07:08 AM PST [Link] Friday, April 12, 2002 It is an interesting thing about the flow of energy for me. Last night, as I was driving back home, I decided that I should write about consciousness. It is a good subject, but it is not the subject which is flowing as I sit here. I have been celebrating what I have come to call the Four Corners of the year since 1966 or ’67. One of the very first events I took part in organizing, in the Summer of Love, was a Spring Equinox celebration in Golden Gate Park in 1967. The unthinkable has become thinkable. He patted me on the shoulder and said, "Baba, life is full of ups and downs." This was the proposition that makes it legal to try juveniles as adults, and place them in adult prisons rather than juvenile detention centers. It is a bizarre situation. "Rishi" is "sage’ or "great sage," and "Parbhaat" is the "ambrosial hours." He was born 3:20 in the morning, which is the beginning of the ambrosial hours. I have been saying that those of us, who are committed to bringing about a positive change in the way humanity is going, cannot demonize our opposition. One of the primary burdens humanity carries is our collective ability to view large segments of humanity as not fellow human beings. He was having an operation in India, a kidney transplant. Many of us in the 3HO community took part in simultaneous chanting around the world, as the operation took place in New Delhi. At times, it was easy to picture the collective healing energy being focused towards the Siri Singh Sahib. And, at times, it was easy to see loved ones in the community sitting in meditation, here and there around the world. Certainly I have much to say, about the state of the world, about my fellow creatures, and about myself. [more] Posted by Sat Santokh @ 09:03 PM PST [Link] |
